We are very proud to be cooperating with the Women’s Centre for Change (WCC Penang) and Pusat Perkhidmatan Wanita in promoting their excellent new publication: Hear Our Stories: The Moment The Butterfly Flaps Its Wings (in English and Chinese). This is no ordinary book. It captures the candid voices of thirteen women from Penang who reflect on their lived experiences. The narratives demonstrate the quiet resilience and strength of women amid their daily dilemmas and emotional traumas. The book is the outcome of the Women’s Stories Project, a pioneering effort of WCC and PPW to engage women to reflect on and write about their often painful and silenced experiences. We will also be cooperating with WCC and PPW to put on special events for next year’s International Women’s Day. Thanks especially to Lean Chan and Molly Lee.
