Founded in 1998 and based in Petaling Jaya, GB Gerakbudaya Enterprise has established itself as the Malaysia’s leading publisher and distributor of progressive books: books that embody social awareness, critical and alternative perspectives, and the hidden histories of Malaysia, Southeast Asia and the wider world we live in. The Penang Bookshelf
Founded by William Knox in 2010, The Penang Bookshelf is the leading seller of rare and antiquarian books, especially on Malaysia and Southeast Asia. William is also the current president of the Independent Online Booksellers Association. He conducts regular consultancy sessions in Gerakbudaya Bookshop every Sunday and by appointment.
