27 Nov GTLF No. 11 Countdown
The George Town Literary Festival at The Whiteaways Arcade is almost upon us and the writers are circling town. What’s to say about the boundless talents Il Maestro, otherwise known as Marco Ferrarese? The Penang-based Renaissance man is a freelance travel and culture writer, anthropologist, punk musician, photographer and researcher. His hardcore pulp novel Nazi Goreng (Monsoon Books, 2013) has been a runaway success while next year we can expect Banana Punk Rawk Trails, his metal punk journeys in Malaysia and Indonesia. Marco’s appearing on a panel with the bland title – A Sense of Place – but you should expect the room to rock.
