Bumi Larangan
It has always been one of the visions of the National Visual Arts Development Board (NVADB) to welcome and support any forms of collaboration with external parties in order to enhance the quality of presentation and appreciation of exhibitions held at our prestigious space. This time around we are working with a freelance curator, Nur Hanim Khairuddin, to set up an important exhibition titled Bumi Larangan: Zulkifli Dahlan.
The exhibition is the result of a research project initiated by the guest curator in 2015 (upon request by the artist’s family) and conducted jointly with the NAG’s curatorial team. Among the key exhibits are Zulkifli Dahlan’s sketches and studies that have never been shown before. This will definitely be the first comprehensive survey of the artist’s work since his untimely death in 1977.
