The Chrysanthemum Lover and Other Tales
The Chrysanthemum Lover and Other Tales features 12 short stories that underscore the pull and lure of folkloric tales. Many of these tales are taken from stories of Asian cultures, reworked and re-imagined, while others are new, birthed in the writer’s imagination. Woven into the stories is the voice of the universal storyteller, forever crafting new tales from old, enriching the telling of each tale as it is handed down from one generation to the next. Whether it is the retelling of the history of a mythical kingdom or tale of a storyless village, we are taken deep into magical worlds that stir the imagination. Interested readers of good tales will enjoy these 12 stories that find their inspiration in the rich cultural tableaux of folklore.
