Ruth Ozeki

Ruth Ozeki is a Japanese-American novelist, filmmaker and Zen Buddhist priest. She is the author of My Year of Meats (1998) and All Over Creation (2003), both of which have won several literary awards, including the Kiriyama Pacific Rim Award and the Barnes and Noble American Book Award. Her most recent work, A Tale for the Time-Being (2013), was also shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize.

She is based in British Columbia and New York.
